Today my main focus was to cut out and shape each squared pieces of t-shirts out first to lessen the work of going back and forth with the cut and tying of the t-shirt squares together to form a blanket. The design of the blanket will be plain patches of multiple colored t-shirts connected by the technique of tying the end strips that I’ve cut out.

The article I found most interesting was the Art+Feminism. In general, women are not as exposed and wide spread as men in society. Men are more credited for the work in society. It is important for women to be more involved in culture of this world, and by posting and educating people about this cause, it is bring awareness and exposure of this movement.

A hero that is an inspiration to me is not necessarily one person, but a whole team. JustKiddingFilms is a comedic phenomenon most known for their youtube success. They make videos that tackle social, contemporary, and cultural issues, while ingeniously capturing and playing to universal sentiments. They are a huge inspiration for me because they teach people from a young age to respect your values and beliefs. Their popular motto is “teaching good things in a bad way”.

My group and I came up with two ideas. One had to do with the homeless community, and the other option had to do with pollution. We had a hard time thinking of a creation that is new and innovative. Eventually we talked with our professor and asked for a bit of inspiration. At the end of the class session, we finalized with two options that we could pick from.
